BELIEFS

VISION

A church where anyone can come to know Jesus Christ (2 Peter 3:9).

MISSION

An active church that loves God and loves people (Mt. 22:36-40). makes disciples, and brings glory to God (James 1:21-27, Matthew 22:37-38, Matthew 28:19-20, Romans 5:5-6).

FOCUS

  1. Bible - We focus on Biblical preaching, group study of the Bible, and individual study of the Bible (Ma. 28:20, 2 Ti. 3:16, He. 4:12).

  2. Prayer - We pray for one another and those in need. We take time to pray before any activity, service, or meeting (Mk. 11:24, Ph. 4:6, Col. 4:2).

  3. Discipleship - We engage in community, supporting one another as we pursue the teachings of Christ as found in the Bible (Ma. 28:19).

CHURCH PURPOSE

  1. To be salt and light, an undeniable example of Christ’s love for humanity.

    • Matthew 5:13-14 - You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men. You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden.

  2. To make disciples, those who follow the teachings of Jesus Christ.

    • Matthew 28:19-20 -  Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.

  3. To build up or teach the saints, those who follow the teachings of Jesus Christ.

    • 1 Thessalonians 5:11 - from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love.

  4. To bring Glory to Christ, the one and only way to the Father God.

    • Romans 5:5-6 - May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you the same attitude of mind toward each other that Christ Jesus had,  so that with one mind and one voice you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

DOCTRINAL STATEMENT

As a church, we believe that a unified Christian body must have a standard set of beliefs. This is the purpose of our doctrinal statement. In summary:

  1. We believe In the Trinity; The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

  2. We believe that Jesus is the Son of God born of a virgin.

  3. We believe that Jesus died for the sins of man and rose again.

  4. We believe the only way to God is through unwavering belief in the sacrifice and shed blood of his Son, Jesus Christ.

  5. We believe the work of the church is to reach lost souls.

  6. We believe that the Bible is the verbally inspired Word of God, guiding Christian living.
